Xylooligosaccharides
Xylooligosaccharides, also known as xylo-oligosaccharides,are functional polymeric sugars composed of 2-7 xylose molecules combined withβ-1,4 glycosidic bonds.Compared with the commonly used soybean oligosaccharides,fructooligosaccharides,isomalto-oligosaccharides,etc.,it has unique advantages. It can selectively promote the proliferation activity of intestinal bifidobacteria. Its bifidus factor function is 10-20 times that of other polymerized sugars.
Unique performance
1.Xylooligosaccharides are difficult to be decomposed by human digestive enzymes.
Digestion experiments with saliva, gastric juice, pancreatic juice and small intestinal enzyme juice show that:all kinds of digestive juices can hardly decompose xylo-oligosaccharides,and its energy value is almost zero, which neither affects the blood sugar concentration nor increases the insulin level in blood sugar.,And does not form fat deposits,so it can play a role in low-energy foods,to maximize the satisfaction of those who love desserts but are worried about diabetes and obesity. Therefore, diabetic, obese and hypoglycemic patients can rest assured edible.
2.It has good acid and thermal stability and is difficult to ferment.Compared with other oligosaccharides, the outstanding feature of xylo-oligosaccharides is that it has very good stability.Even when heated to 100°C under acidic conditions(PH=2.5-7),there is basically no decomposition, while some functional oligosaccharides are easily decomposed under acidic conditions, which reduces the activity of promoting the proliferation of bifidobacteria.
3.Low effective intake
Other functional oligosaccharides, the effective dose taken daily:
Fructooligosaccharide 5.0-20.0g
Galactooligosaccharide 8.0-10.0g
Soy oligosaccharide 3.0—10.0g
Isomaltooligosaccharides 15.0-20.0g
Effective daily intake of xylo-oligosaccharides:0.7-1.4 g/day
Application field
Feed category:as a feed additive to replace antibiotics
storage method
Xylooligosaccharide powder is easy to absorb moisture and should be stored in a dry, ventilated environment, protected from moisture and sun.
Xylooligosaccharide syrup should be stored in a dry, ventilated environment and protected from sun.
