nutrients necessary for plants. Carbon accounts for 58% of crop organic matter and 30% to 35% of dry matter. The carbon required by crops is mainly absorbed by the stomata of the leaves to absorb carbon dioxide in the air, and co
nverted into carbohydrates by the photosynthesis of chlorophyll, forming the tissue structure of crops. The roots of plants also directly absorb the carbon dissolved in water from the organic matter in the soil, which is input into the plant and formed by another type of electrochemical reaction.

However, in artificial planting, especially when organic fertilizers are ignored and chemical fertilizers are applied, this proportion is out of balance. This has caused problems such as thinning of crop leaves, puffiness of stems (less dry matter), poor taste, easy disease, and premature plant aging. This in turn proves that the absorption of carbon dioxide by the stomata of crops cannot replace the absorption of water-soluble carbon by the roots. Applying carbon fertilizer to the roots of crops is essential.
