1. The diameter of the water meter should be selected not only considering the pipe diameter at the installation site, but also the size of the frequently used flow to select a water meter with an appropriate diameter. It is appropriate that the frequently used flow is close to or less than the required flow of the water meter. The diameter of the water meter cannot be determined solely by the pipe diameter.
2. The installation position of the water meter should be selected to be convenient for disassembly and meter reading, and should be protected from exposure and freezing pollution. At the same time, the valve should be installed before the water meter is installed, so that the water meter can be disassembled and disconnected.
3. During installation, remove the debris such as hemp, sand and stones in the pipeline, and then install the water meter to prevent the water meter from being damaged or malfunctioning.
4. According to the installation requirements, H on the dial or nameplate represents horizontal installation, and V represents vertical installation. The dial should not be down or inclined, and the direction of the arrow on the case should be consistent with the direction of the water flow. The water meter should be installed coaxially with the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections. At the same time, the straight pipe section should ensure 10 times the caliber of the water meter before the meter and 5 times the caliber of the water meter after the meter to avoid inaccurate measurement.
5. When installing the water meter, you must consider that the water pressure and water temperature used on site are within the maximum working pressure and temperature of the water meter. If the cold water meter is installed in a place such as a boiler where hot water is used, the hot water should be prevented from scalding the movement.
6. During the transportation or installation of the water meter, throwing, bumping, slamming and brutal operations shall be prohibited.
7. In the long-term use of the water meter, there will be rust and scale in the meter. Impurities, rust and other debris in the pipe will block the water filter of the water meter or enter the water meter to affect the measurement. The state stipulates that the use period of water meters is 6 years, at this time it is recommended to replace the water meter or re-clean and test the old water meter.
