In some cases, it is more economical to use color masterbatch coloring than to use toner coloring, because colorists can achieve the coloring effect of higher price pigments through the combination of several lower price pigments. Masterbatch coloring is the most commonly used plastic coloring method today. The colorant dispersed in the carrier is simply mixed with the natural resin and used to manufacture plastic products.
The significant advantages of masterbatch coloring are:
(1) Easy to use, no pollution to the environment.
(2) Even and stable coloring, improve the quality of plastic parts.
(3) It is easy to measure and can be applied to a highly automated molding production system.
(4) The coloring, anti-aging agent, antistatic agent, etc. can be combined in one side to make a multi-functional masterbatch for easy use.
Also consider the following two phenomena:
(1) In many cases, the pigments used by plastic product manufacturers when matching colors with toners are not the most economical, and because they are not familiar with pigments, it is very common to waste manpower and materials. The use of masterbatch does not have this problem.
(2) The grades of products colored with color masterbatch and the products colored with coloring are completely different, and the selling price is also higher. The higher selling price is often higher than the added cost of using color masterbatch. Instead, grains can create "profits". From this perspective, in some cases, coloring with masterbatch is more "economical" than coloring with toner.
