Lithium ion battery is a kind of rechargeable battery, it mainly relies on the movement of lithium ion between positive electrode and negative electrode to work. In the process of charging and discharging, Li+ intercalates and deintercalates between the two electrodes: when charging the battery, Li+ deintercalates from the positive electrode, inserts the negative electrode through the electrolyte, and the negative electrode is in a lithium-rich state; the opposite is true during discharge.
Lithium ion batteries are easily confused with the following two types of batteries:
(1) Lithium battery: There is lithium element.
(2) Lithium-ion polymer battery: replace liquid organic solvent with polymer.
