Protecting ash seedlings, especially the root system of ash seedlings, is essential to maintaining the vitality of ash seedlings.
1 The transplantation time of white wax in the white wax planting base
The best time for ash transplantation is during the dormant period of ash seedlings, that is, from October (northern) in autumn to April of the following year. Evergreen tree species can also be transplanted with ash in the growing period. In fact, pewter seedlings can be transplanted at any time, as long as conditions permit, there is no time limit.
Because of the cold winter and dry spring in the northern region, pewter transplantation is better in spring. The survival of pewter seedlings depends largely on the water balance in the pewter seedlings. In this sense, it is most appropriate for northern regions to perform pewter transplantation immediately after thawing in early spring.
In early spring white wax transplantation, the sap has just begun to flow, the shoots have not yet germinated, the transpiration is weak, and the soil moisture is good. Because the root growth temperature is low and the soil temperature can meet the requirements of root growth, the survival rate of pewter seedlings transplanted in early spring is high. The specific time of spring pewter transplantation should also be arranged according to the time when the tree species germinate. In general, the ones that germinate early move first, the fallen leaves move first, and the evergreen move later; the woody move first, the ratoon herb moves later; the large seedlings move first, and the small seedlings move later.
2 The number and density of ash seedlings and ash transplantation
The cultivation of large-scale pewter seedlings requires many pewter transplants for many years, and the density of each pewter transplant is closely related to the total number of pewter transplants. If the pewter seedlings are transplanted densely each time, the corresponding pewter transplants will be more frequent; each pewter transplant is thinner, and the number of pewter transplants is less. The number and density of ash seedlings and ash transplantation are also related to the growth rate of the tree. Fast-growing ash transplants have less density and fewer times; slow-growing ash transplants have higher density and more times.
