FRP water tanks are divided into SMC molded combined water tanks and hand-formed water tanks. According to the inspection and analysis by the Beijing Municipal Health and Anti-epidemic Station, the water quality of the SMC molded combined water tank is (better than the stainless steel water tank). It is easy to assemble and has reached 1,260 cubic meters in China.
The development trend of FRP water tanks in the future is:
1. First, learn the lessons of water tanks in Taiwan Province. In the last century, FRP water tanks were popular in Taiwan. Later, due to the industry's cutting corners and poor quality, they gradually withdrew from the market. Most of them were replaced by stainless steel water tanks. On the other hand, in Japan, stainless steel water tanks are no match for FRP water tanks. Almost 100% of water tanks in Japan are FRP.
2. The single board of the water tank has changed from the traditional 1×1m to 2×1m. There are two reasons: the installation time is saved, and the cost of the unit board is also reduced. 3. Thermoplastic FRP has a series of advantages such as physical change in the production process, no pollution, easy recycling, low density, and good impact toughness. There are already GMT (GlassMat Reinforced Thermoplastics-glass fiber mat reinforced thermoplastics) sheet production in China. With its molding, the production efficiency is several times higher than SMC molding (the holding time is only about 1 minute). It has been used as a container abroad, and its working conditions are worse than those of water tanks. The SMC is not easy to recycle. Therefore, from the perspective of environmental protection and circular economy, FRTP should also be used. The original press and mold can be used, and only a heating oven (preheating GMT sheet) can be added.
Fourth, develop series of products: use the corrosion resistance of glass fiber reinforced plastics, adjust the SMC raw material formula, can produce chemical storage tanks, electroplating tanks, and take advantage of its convenient installation to make camp swimming pools, guard rooms and other facilities.
