More than 70 countries in the world have or are planning to develop nuclear power, of which more than 40 countries along the "Belt and Road" route, and more than 10 countries are planning to develop nuclear power. It is estimated that by 2020, there will be a
bout 130 new nuclear power plants in the world, and this number will reach a
bout 300 by 2030. Among them, the "Belt and Road" countries and neighboring countries will account for a
bout 80% of the number of newly built units. On the road of my country's entry into the internatio
nal nuclear power market, strengthening standardization is also an im
portant means to enhance competitiveness.
The need for standards for nuclear power development
To develop nuclear power, standards must be advanced; nuclear power must be safe and standards must be advanced. The development and growth of the nuclear power industry is inseparable from the support of standards. Almost all nuclear power developed countries (such as France and the United States) have complete standard systems to guide domestic nuclear power development and export competition. The development of nuclear power is not only affected by national industrial policies, but also restricted by the standard system.
