In the new version of the "Code for Residential Projects", other statements related to waterproofing requirements are as follows:

There are still hidden dangers of water leakage in the same floor drainage and integral toilets. Therefore, this article stipulates that the toilet shall not be directly arranged on the upper floor of the bedroom, living room (hall), kitchen and dining room of the lower-level tenants.

The floor of the bathroom often has water and may be flooded. Reliable waterproof structure and drainage measures should be adopted. The waterproof layer should be turned up to a certain height along the wall, and the wall of the shower area and the wall of the lavatory have corresponding waterproof height requirements. At the entrance of the door, the waterproof layer can be extended horizontally, and the extension width shall not be less than 0.50m, and the extension width on both sides shall not be less than 0.20m.

The floor and wall of the bathroom should be provided with a waterproof layer. The height of the waterproof layer of the shower area should not be less than 2.00m, the height of the waterproof layer of the wall at the washbasin should not be less than 1.20m, and the waterproof layer of other walls should be turned up. The height should not be less than 0.25m; the floor of the toilet floor should be provided with a drainage slope and floor drain, and there should be measures to prevent the overflow of accumulated water at the door opening.

The floor of the balcony where the open type or washing machine is installed should have drainage and waterproof measures; when the residential building adopts solar water heating system, it should meet the following requirements: 1 The solar water heating system should be firmly connected to the main structure of the building; 2 Waterproof, sealed and waterproof should be installed. Drainage structure measures; 3 shall not damage the roof waterproof layer and auxiliary facilities of residential buildings.
