Acute toxicity: LD502196mg/kg (rat oral); 8750mg/kg (rabbit skin); mice inhaled 4.6g/m×3 to 4 hours, lethal; mice oral 860mg/kg, lethal.
Subacute and chronic toxicity: inhalation of 1.85g/m×4～7 hours/2～12 times in mice, mild steatosis of liver cells; inhalation of 4.4g/m×7 hours×6～32 times in rats, half of the animals died .
Mutagenicity: Ames test Salmonella strains TA1535, TA1978, TA100, 10-50mg/dish positive.
Hazardous characteristics: Its vapor and air form an explosive mixture, which can cause combustion and explosion when exposed to open flames and high heat energy. It can react with oxidants. Decomposed by high heat to produce toxic corrosive gas. Its vapor is heavier than air and can spread to a relatively far place in a lower place, and it will reignite when it encounters a fire source. In case of high heat, the internal pressure of the container will increase and there is a danger of cracking and explosion.
