Used as an analytical reagent, also used to separate precipitated sulfate and produce barium salt, and determine carbon dioxide in the air. Quantification of chlorophyll. Refining sugar and animal and vegetable oils. Boiler water cleaner. Insecticides. Rubber industry.
Used as a catalyst for the synthesis of phenolic resin, the polycondensation reaction is easy to control, the prepared resin has low viscosity, fast curing speed, and easy removal of the catalyst. The reference dosage is 1% to 1.5% of phenol. It is also used as a catalyst for water-soluble urea-modified phenol-formaldehyde adhesive. The cured product is light yellow. The divalent barium salt remaining in the resin does not affect the dielectric and chemical stability.
