At present, the global automobile industry is affected by the economic downturn, the new four modernizations of automobile and its own development cycle, and the growth rate of total production and sales slows down. The auto parts industry has formed six auto parts cluster areas in the northeast, Beijing Tianjin Hebei, Bohai Sea, central China, southwest, Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta. The output value of these six industrial cluster areas accounts for about 80% of the whole industry. Among them, the output value of parts and components in the Yangtze River delta accounts for about 37%, which is the largest output value of auto parts in China. Shanghai is the largest parts industry base in China, and the output value accounts for 20% of the total output; Zhejiang and Jiangsu account for about 17%.

Geographically, parts enterprises in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and other places have a solid foundation for development, accounting for more than 60%, and enterprises in Henan, Shaanxi, Sichuan and other places have sprung up. On the whole, the parts industry is gradually advancing to the central and western regions, the number of enterprises accounts for more than 20%, and the parts enterprises in the central and western regions continue to rise. In the primary supporting system of complete vehicles, the huge group of independent parts accounts for only 20% of the market share. The product added value of most independent parts enterprises is generally low. They are in the low-end market, with 50% wholly foreign-owned enterprises and 30% Sino foreign joint ventures, and occupy the medium and high-end supporting market. At present, China, India and other emerging automobile markets have become the automobile consumption markets with the largest market capacity and the most market growth space in the world. At the same time, these countries are rich in labor resources, low labor cost and continuous improvement of labor quality.

With the increasingly fierce competition in the international automobile and parts industry, in order to explore emerging markets and effectively reduce production costs, automobile and parts enterprises began to accelerate the industrial transfer to China, India, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions.
