Lubricating materials used in saw machine are lubricating oil and grease. The selection of lubricating materials is based on:
(1) Structural characteristics of friction pairs;
(2) Relative moving velocity of friction surface;
(3) The load on the friction surface;
(4) Working temperature
(5) Sealing conditions;
(6) The convenience of supplementing and replacing lubricating materials.
The large amount of grease used in bandsaw machine is mainly due to the convenience of using grease, the simplicity of sealing and the long-term operation of parts without frequent replacement or replacement of grease.
Lubricating oil is characterized by small coefficient of internal friction, which can be used for lubricating high-speed components. When replacing lubricating oil, it can not dismantle machinery. However, lubricating oil is easy to flow out from the shell, so it is necessary to adopt a sealing device with complex structure and take care of refueling from time to time.
There are few kinds of lubricating materials commonly used in sawing machines, and their quality requirements are not special. The lubricating oils of No. 20, No. 30 and No. 40 are usually used (see GB443-64 for mechanical oil performance) and No. 2 calcium grease (see GB491-65 for performance of calcium grease). Whether using lubricating oil or grease, the oil must be clean and refueled on time.
