The steel shot, also called alloy steel shot, is circular. It is mixed by scrap steel smelting and adding ferromanganese silicoferrite to form a pellet shape by centrifugal atomization. The steel shot has moderate hardness and is not fragile. The repeated use rate is high, and the surface of the workpiece is treated well.
First, the simple production process of steel shot
Ball shape forming → deringing belt → rough grinding → soft grinding → heat treatment → ball forming → light ball (or file → soft grinding) → hard grinding → fine grinding → fine grinding (or polishing) → super fine grinding.
How steel shots are formed
Second, the detailed production process of steel shot
1. Stretching (drawing wire):
Recycling scrap steel ball manufacturers stretch the wire with a wire drawing machine to the required wire diameter;
2. Cold heading (forging):
Recycling waste steel shot manufacturers place the drawn wire into a steel shot cold heading machine, and the steel mold inside the machine is beaten into a ball embryo;
3. Light sphere:
The two cast iron grinding balls in the light ball machine pressurized the cold-headed blastocysts to remove the outer ring band and the poles on the blastocyst;
4. Soft ball:
The two cast iron grinding balls in the soft ball machine are used to file the light ball ball embryos to grind the ball embryos into the required ball diameter and surface roughness;
5. Heat treatment:
Manufacturers of recycled waste steel shots put the balls into a heat treatment furnace, carburized and then quenched and then tempered to give the balls a certain carburized layer and hardness, toughness and crushing load;
6. Hard grinding:
The grinding wheel disc in the grinding machine presses the heat-treated ball blank to remove the black oxide layer on the surface of the ball and correct the accuracy of the ball;
7. Lapping / polishing cleaning:
Refining: Grind the grinding spherules in the lapping machine to make the balls reach the precision and finish required by the finished product;
Polishing and cleaning: pour the ball into the polishing drum and rotate it, and clean it with polishing detergent and water to make the ball clean and bright;
8. Appearance selection:
Recycling scrap steel ball manufacturers use manual visual inspection to check the surface of the steel ball for any flaws, and use a micrometer to measure the true roundness, the change in the batch diameter, and the surface roughness with a surface roughness meter as the final inspection;
9. Packaging:
Recycling of waste steel shots. The steel shots / stainless steel shots / bearing steel shots are coated with rust preventive oil and packed in cartons or woven bags.
