New battery charging
New batteries should generally be activated. After being left for a period of time, the battery will enter a dormant state. At this time, the capacity is lower than normal, and the operating time is also shortened, so that the demand is activated. Lithium battery activation method is very simple, as long as the normal charge and discharge cycle of 3-5 times before the battery dry activation, restore normal capacity.
Charge the old battery
Charging method
Old batteries are batteries that are repeatedly charged and discharged, not dead batteries. The life of a lithium battery is independent of the number of charges and discharges. It has no recall effect, and no matter how you charge it, the number of charges will not be affected. Therefore, do not use the battery to fully charge, it is best to charge the battery as much as possible when it can be charged, the charging time should be 2-3 hours, of course, you should not always overflow.
Charging voltage
The safe operating voltage scale of lithium batteries is 2.8 ~ 4.2V. Below or above this voltage scale, lithium ions become very unstable in the battery, and may even cause failure. A special charger is required to ensure a safe battery size. These chargers actively adjust the charging mode based on the current state of the battery.
3. The right charger
Lithium batteries are charged using a dedicated charger to ensure the safety of charging. When the charger is operating, it charges the battery with a steady current. With the increase of battery voltage, the charger also adds the charging voltage to speed up the charging speed. When the battery reaches the 4.2v cut-off voltage, the battery is charged about 70% (not overcharged). At this time, the charger continues to charge the battery with a stable voltage and gradually decreasing current. When the battery charge value is less than 0.1A, the charger will stop charging when the battery voltage continues to rise.
4. Responsible for regular
For long-term use of lithium batteries, the power should be halved and stored in a cool and dry place. Overcharged registers are dangerous. The battery will be damaged. Without overcharged registers, the battery may be damaged and lose its function. During the storage process, every 3-6 months, a charging cycle must be completed to perform a power calibration.
How long does a lithium battery last?
Lithium batteries can be recharged 300 to 500 times. It cannot be used beyond this number. Of course, this can only be used as a reference. The life of a lithium battery has nothing to do with the number of charges, but has to do with the cycle of charge and discharge, that is, the number of charges from zero to full. The charging cycle means that everything in the battery goes from full to empty and then from empty to full, which is different from a single charge. For example, a lithium battery uses half its charge on the first day and then recharges it. If the next day is still the same, with half the charge, there will be two charge drops in total, which can only be counted as one charge cycle, not two.
In daily life, it may take several charges to complete a cycle. With each cycle, the battery capacity is reduced a little. However, the shake is small, high-quality batteries can still maintain 80% of their original capacity after repeated charging, and many lithium-ion products can continue to be used after two to three years. Of course, when the life of a lithium battery is over, it will still be replaced by demand.
