Flowering period from April to May, the flower head is spherical, the diameter of the spherical inflorescence is 2.5-3.5 cm; the flower length is about 4 mm; the sepals are 4; the petals are 4; the male flowers (4 to 8 stamens); the female flowers (with 6 separate carpels). The cones droop, usually 2 balls in a bunch. The fruit is ripe from September to October, and the base of the nut has long hairs.
