d-a tocopherol

 D-α-tocopherol is light yellow viscous oily liquid, odorless and tasteless. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone, chloroform and grease. The molecular formula is C29H50O2. Density: 0.93. Melting point: 2.5-3.5ºC. Boiling point: 200-220ºC (0.07501 mmHg). Flash point: 253ºC. From 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene as raw material, 2,3,5-trimethylbenzoquinone is obtained by iodination, nitration, reduction and oxidation, and then reduced and condensed with phytol.
