(1) To save land and increase the feeding density, chickens can be raised in cages. The cages can be arranged into ladder or stack according to need. The space of chicken house can be fully utilized, thus raising the feeding density. Generally, 10 to 25 animals per square metre can be raised, which is 10 times higher than that in free culture.

(2) The cage laying hens with good feeding conditions and high egg-laying rate are raised indoors, which can artificially control the temperature, humidity, light, air and other environmental conditions. At the same time, according to the nutritional requirement of laying hens, the optimum high protein feed can be prepared, so that the laying rate of hens is high and stable in the whole laying period.

(3) Easy to manage, reduce labor intensity and realize centralized management with cage chicken. Feeding, water feeding, egg collecting and excrement are more convenient, which reduces labor intensity, saves labor time and improves labor productivity.

(4) Save feed and help chicken manure to be fixed in cage chicken feeding trough and isolated from chickens. It is not easy to waste feed when chickens eat. It can save about 10% of feed than cage chickens or free-range chickens. The feces of caged chickens are clean and easy to collect and utilize.
