 Chlorinated paraffin-70 [1] Also known as high-chlorine paraffin, chlorinated wax-70, 70 chlorinated paraffin, referred to as CP-70, molecular formula C20H24 C118～C24H29Cl21, molecular weight 1060～1100. White or light yellow powder, odorless, relative density 1.66～1.70. The chlorine content is 70%. The softening point is 95~120~C. The refractive index is 1.540～1.580. It has good chemical stability and does not react with water, oxidants and dilute lye at room temperature. The stability to light and heat is poor. When the temperature exceeds 150°C, the stability begins to decrease gradually. Soluble in acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, dichloroethane, toluene, insoluble in methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, n-butanol, and water. Non-toxic.
